Hot oil boilers are divided into two general categories in terms of installation and overall structure, as well as the type of fuel used: 1- Horizontal or vertical hot oil boiler: Hot oil boilers are produced horizontally or vertically depending on the capacity and design specifications, both of which have their own advantages and disadvantages. Vertical boilers are usually used in low capacities or due to space limitations. Also, horizontal boilers usually have higher efficiency. 2- Gas-burning, diesel-burning, dual-burning hot oil boilers: Hot oil boilers based on the fuel available at the installation site with a gas-burning burner or a diesel-burning burner or a dual-burning burner (gas and diesel) Or a triple burner (gas, diesel and fuel oil) is produced.
Advantages of vertical hot oil boiler The hot oil boiler of vertical design has the following important advantages: ▪️ Due to the rising properties of hot air, it has a better retention time of the heat inside the boiler. ▪️ The circulation of hot oil inside the coils is done better due to the earth's gravity. ▪️ Hot oil draining is done much faster. ▪️ It is very suitable for installation in engine houses that have less space.
Applications of hot oil boiler

Three methods of cleaning the hot oil boiler
1- Washing with washing fluid The method of washing with washing fluid is recommended when: ▪️ The system is not too dirty. ▪️ Fluids are chemically compatible. It is not difficult to fully drain the system. ▪️ The time should be short.
2- Washing with process system cleaner This method is recommended when the following conditions exist: ▪️ Fluids should not be compatible and be of different types. ▪️ The system should have suspended particles and light viscous carbon deposits. ▪️ The system is severely clogged with sludge or the flow is blocked in some places. ▪️ Purification of a large system, when full filling of the washing fluid is not acceptable.
3- Other factors When cleaning is done, special attention should be paid to the time and bowl of felts and liquid disposal. A common mistake is to try to do intensive cleaning on the weekend and start the setup on Saturday morning. This method is only available for small and uncomplicated systems. Considerable time at the required temperature will be required for cleaning. Always remember that proper washing is not done quickly.
